Pakistan Hajj Operation 2026 Reaches Final Phase as Pilgrims Continue Returning Home

Pakistan’s Hajj Operation 2026 has entered its concluding stage, with thousands of pilgrims already returning home following the completion of their spiritual journey in Saudi Arabia.

According to officials from the Ministry of Religious Affairs, the repatriation process is moving forward smoothly and efficiently. Nearly 46% of Pakistani pilgrims who traveled to Saudi Arabia for Hajj this year have safely arrived back in Pakistan, marking a significant milestone in the post-Hajj operation.

Ministry spokesperson Omar Butt confirmed that the large-scale operation has now transitioned into its final phase. He stated that arrangements made by Pakistani authorities in coordination with Saudi officials have helped ensure an organized return of pilgrims from the holy cities.

As part of the next stage of the operation, field activities currently being carried out in Makkah are expected to conclude within the next 72 hours. Once these responsibilities are completed, all operational and administrative functions will be transferred to Madinah, where officials will continue managing the departure and assistance of remaining pilgrims.

The shift from Makkah to Madinah represents a routine but important phase of the Hajj operation. Many pilgrims traditionally spend time in Madinah after completing the core Hajj rituals, offering prayers at the Prophet’s Mosque and visiting significant Islamic landmarks before returning to their home countries.

Authorities have highlighted that transportation, accommodation assistance, medical services, and guidance facilities remain available to support pilgrims during the final days of their stay. Dedicated teams from Pakistan’s Hajj Mission continue to monitor arrangements and provide assistance where required.

The successful return of nearly half of Pakistan’s Hajj pilgrims reflects the scale and coordination involved in managing one of the country’s largest annual overseas religious operations. Thousands of pilgrims are being transported back through scheduled flights operating from various Saudi airports to major cities across Pakistan.

Officials have reassured families that the repatriation process is proceeding according to schedule, with remaining pilgrims expected to return in phases over the coming weeks. The Ministry of Religious Affairs remains committed to ensuring a safe, comfortable, and well-organized conclusion to Hajj Operation 2026.

The final stage of the operation is expected to focus on facilitating departures from Madinah while maintaining essential services for pilgrims until their return journeys are completed. With the majority of Hajj-related activities now winding down, authorities are working to ensure a seamless end to this year’s pilgrimage season.
