Groundbreaking Ceremony for Daanish School in AJK by PM Shehbaz Sharif

Shehbaz Sharif’s Education Reforms Reach AJK

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif performed the groundbreaking of the first Daanish School in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) on Wednesday. This significant initiative aims to provide state-of-the-art education facilities to talented but underprivileged children in the region.

A Visionary Initiative by Nawaz Sharif

The prime minister noted that Daanish Schools were conceptualized by former PM Nawaz Sharif to offer quality education to students from economically challenged families. Over the years, these schools have produced graduates who have excelled in various sectors, proving the efficacy of the program.

Free Education with Comprehensive Support

Daanish Schools go beyond academics by offering free books, meals, and lodging. Separate campuses for boys and girls will be established to cater to the needs of all students while ensuring a secure and inclusive environment.

Expanding the Reach of Education

PM Shehbaz announced plans to establish additional Daanish Schools in Neelum Valley, other parts of AJK, and underdeveloped regions such as Gilgit-Baltistan and Balochistan. The federal government will bear the entire cost of these projects, which will be fast-tracked for completion within a year.

A Unified Effort for Development

The prime minister highlighted the collective efforts of provincial leaders and military officials in supporting initiatives for education and health. He also reiterated Pakistan’s unwavering solidarity with the people of Occupied Kashmir, emphasizing the importance of education in achieving long-term progress.

Local Leaders Applaud the Initiative

Anwarul Haq, the Prime Minister of AJK, praised the establishment of the Daanish School in Bhimber as a “game-changer” for the region. Federal Minister for Kashmir Affairs, Amir Muqam, expressed gratitude for the federal government’s commitment to uplifting the educational standards in AJK. Four such schools are planned for the region to ensure widespread access to quality education.

With such progressive steps, the Sindh government aims to address longstanding gaps in education and provide a brighter future for the youth of Pakistan.
