Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi visited the residence of Pakistan Muslim League–Quaid (PML-Q) President and former Prime Minister Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain on Monday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
During the meeting, the interior minister expressed deep grief and condolences over the passing of Chaudhry Shujaat’s brother-in-law, Javed Chattha, and offered heartfelt sympathy to the bereaved family.
Mohsin Naqvi also offered Fateha for the departed soul, praying for eternal peace and strength for the family to bear the loss.
Alongside the condolence visit, the interior minister briefed Chaudhry Shujaat on recent internal security developments and the federal government’s ongoing efforts to strengthen law and order across the country.
Chaudhry Shujaat expressed satisfaction over the government’s recent security initiatives and commended the Ministry of Interior’s proactive approach toward maintaining peace and stability nationwide.
Both leaders also paid tribute to the martyrs of the nation, acknowledging their sacrifices for Pakistan’s safety and sovereignty with profound respect and gratitude.
Provincial Minister Chaudhry Shafay Hussain was also present during the meeting, which underscored the continued coordination between federal and provincial leadership on key national matters.
Officials said the meeting reflected the government’s commitment to enhancing political consensus and coordination on internal security, particularly amid regional challenges and the evolving law and order landscape.
