Pakistan and Indonesia have successfully completed their joint military exercise, Shaheen Strike-II, held from 8 to 19 November 2025. The training was conducted with a strong focus on counterterrorism operations, according to a statement released by the Inter Services Public Relations on Wednesday.

Combat teams from both the Pakistan Army and the Indonesian Army took part in the drills. The two sides worked closely throughout the exercise, aiming to enhance coordination, improve tactical skills and strengthen their ability to respond to modern security challenges.

ISPR confirmed that all planned training objectives were met, and the exercise officially concluded on 18 November. A senior General Officer from Pakistan attended the closing ceremony as the Chief Guest, while Indonesia was represented by senior military officials.

During the course of the exercise, participating troops displayed high levels of professionalism and operational discipline. The training placed special emphasis on improving counterterrorism techniques, especially those required for operations in built-up areas. Troops also practiced counter-IED procedures, an essential component of contemporary conflict environments.

Shaheen Strike-II served as more than just a tactical drill. It played an important role in deepening defence collaboration between Pakistan and Indonesia, further cementing a longstanding partnership built on mutual respect and shared security interests. Both countries continue to value joint training as a way to exchange expertise and strengthen regional stability.

With the successful conclusion of the exercise, Pakistan and Indonesia have reaffirmed their commitment to enhancing military cooperation and maintaining readiness against evolving threats.
