Pakistan and Kazakhstan Pledge to Strengthen Bilateral Ties and Unlock Regional Potential

Pakistan and Kazakhstan have reaffirmed their commitment to deepening bilateral ties, aiming to expand cooperation in trade, economy, and strategic development. Both nations emphasized the importance of mutual respect and collaboration to unlock the vast opportunities that lie ahead.

Strategic Talks Between Leaders

During delegation-level talks in Islamabad, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar met with Kazakh Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Murat Nurtleu. Both leaders highlighted their shared determination to elevate relations and acknowledged the “time-tested” nature of their partnership.

Dar underscored Pakistan’s commitment to regional peace, prosperity, and development, particularly in cooperation with Central Asian states. He emphasized that trust and goodwill form the basis of Pakistan’s vision for closer engagement with Kazakhstan.

Focus on Presidential Visit

Dar also confirmed Pakistan’s anticipation of Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev’s visit in November 2025, calling it a significant opportunity to finalize new agreements. He stressed that the visit would serve as a milestone in boosting political, economic, and cultural exchanges.

Kazakhstan’s Perspective

In his remarks, Deputy Prime Minister Murat Nurtleu described Pakistan as a reliable partner, noting that the two countries enjoy strong historical roots and potential for growth.

He shared insights from his meetings with government officials and business leaders in Islamabad, stating that these interactions paved the way for enhanced cooperation in trade and investment.
