Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, the Chief of Army Staff, held a ceremonial dinner honouring Pakistan’s political leadership, military personnel, and resilient citizens in recognition of their roles during Marka-e-Haq and Operation Bunyanum Marsoos, according to ISPR.

Among the distinguished guests were President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Deputy PM Ishaq Dar, along with federal ministers, governors, the Senate Chairman, and Speaker of the National Assembly. Military leadership across all branches also attended, alongside senior bureaucrats and political party leaders.

The event, held in a dignified atmosphere, celebrated the collective spirit that carried the nation through one of its most defining strategic phases.

In a solemn but forward-looking address, General Munir paid tribute to Pakistan’s democratic and institutional leadership. He emphasized the strategic foresight displayed by both civil and military sectors, which contributed to the operational efficiency during the recent military engagements.

He reserved particular commendation for Pakistan’s youth and media sector, whom he described as “unshakable defenders of the truth” during a time when hostile narratives sought to undermine national unity.
