A team of doctors performed the first plastic surgery on Rizwana, a victim of torture, on Thursday, Bol News reported.

Professor Farid Al Zafar confirmed the surgery and said that Rizwana’s cheeks and eyes had been grafted.

Professor Jodut Saleem said that the wound on Rizwana’s head and neck had been cleaned and bandaged.

Doctors said that Rizwana’s platelets and blood count had improved.

Professor Al Farid Zafar said that wound cleaning and grafting was a difficult process.

He also said that Rizwana was taking three meals daily and that the provincial health minister was being informed about her health on a daily basis.
