Mega Motor Company (MMC), in collaboration with BYD, the world’s leading New Energy Vehicle (NEV) manufacturer, has officially introduced the BYD Sealion 7 and BYD Atto 2 in Pakistan. The launch marks another significant step in the country’s shift toward clean, sustainable, and future-ready mobility solutions.
The unveiling took place at a dealership event in Lahore, with bookings now open nationwide. With these two new additions, BYD-MMC continues to expand its NEV portfolio in Pakistan, catering to both premium SUV buyers and urban drivers seeking an efficient electric alternative.
The BYD Sealion 7 enters the Pakistani market as a premium electric SUV designed to compete with top global EVs. Known as one of BYD’s best-selling models in the Asia-Pacific region, the Sealion 7 combines luxury, performance, and advanced safety features. It delivers an impressive 308 horsepower and 380 Nm of torque, allowing it to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 6.7 seconds. Its braking performance is equally strong, with a stopping distance of 37 meters from 100 km/h.
With a driving range of up to 567 kilometers on a single charge, the Sealion 7 offers both performance and practicality. Its refined cabin, advanced technology, and long-range capability position it as a strong contender in Pakistan’s premium electric SUV segment.
The BYD Atto 2, on the other hand, is aimed at everyday urban mobility. Designed specifically with practical driving needs in mind, the Atto 2 blends smart technology with cost efficiency. It features keyless start with NFC card access, a 50W wireless charging pad, ventilated electric seats, and a well-organized, intuitive cabin layout.
Performance-wise, the Atto 2 stands out as the fastest vehicle in its category, achieving 0 to 100 km/h in 7.9 seconds. With a driving range of approximately 380 kilometers and up to 75 percent lower running and maintenance costs compared to similar internal combustion vehicles, the Atto 2 makes electric mobility more accessible for Pakistani consumers.
Both vehicles are built on BYD’s proprietary technologies, including the Blade Battery, known for its enhanced safety, durability, and thermal stability. They also utilize BYD’s e-Platform 3.0 and the industry-first 8-in-1 electric powertrain, which improves efficiency, reduces weight, and enhances overall driving performance.
BYD Pakistan’s leadership highlighted that the launch reflects the company’s long-term commitment to transforming Pakistan’s automotive landscape. With a diverse lineup now available, BYD aims to make the transition to electric vehicles practical, reliable, and rewarding for a wide range of customers.
The BYD Atto 2 is priced at PKR 7.29 million with a booking amount of PKR 1.4 million, while the BYD Sealion 7 is available at PKR 15.490 million with bookings starting at PKR 3 million. A limited-time introductory offer valid until February 28 includes a complimentary 7 kW home charger and extended warranty benefits.
Alongside vehicle launches, BYD-MMC and HubcoGreen are developing Pakistan’s first nationwide NEV charging corridor, stretching nearly 1,300 kilometers from Karachi to Peshawar, further strengthening the country’s EV infrastructure.
