CDA’s Vision for Resource Optimization
The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has announced plans to introduce digital parking systems in Islamabad’s largest parks. This initiative, directed by CDA Chairman Muhammad Ali Randhawa, aims to modernize resource management, increase operational efficiency, and boost revenue generation.
Improving Park Facilities
Chairman Randhawa emphasized that the revenue collected from the digital parking system would directly fund the development and maintenance of Islamabad’s parks. This ensures sustainable improvements and enhances the overall visitor experience in these recreational spaces.
Upgrades in Healthcare Facilities
The meeting also addressed the operations of Capital Hospital. Key measures include appointing a Director of Finance and minimizing local medicine purchases to ensure cost-effectiveness. Additionally, a detailed financial viability plan for the hospital was proposed to enhance its long-term performance.
Revamping the Directorate of Health Services
Reforms in the Directorate of Health Services were also discussed. The CDA plans to reopen non-functional medical centers and hire medical officers to strengthen healthcare accessibility. An innovative proposal to mandate medical screenings and vaccinations for workers in barber shops, food outlets, and similar businesses as a licensing condition was also introduced, aiming to ensure public health safety.
Transparency in Enforcement
The Enforcement Wing is set to undergo significant reforms, with inspectors being empowered to collect fines on-site. Furthermore, an online fine collection system will be implemented to improve transparency and streamline operations.
A Step Toward a Digitally Efficient Capital
These initiatives align with the CDA’s broader vision to enhance public services while maintaining transparency and efficiency in Islamabad’s governance.
