PAA Elects New Central Executive Committee for 2026–2028

The Pakistan Advertising Association (PAA) has elected a new 14-member Central Executive Committee (CEC) for the 2026–2028 term, marking a new phase for the country’s advertising industry body.

The election results were announced during the association’s 11th Annual General Meeting, where members approved the agenda and formally welcomed the new leadership team.

Numan Nabi Ahmed has been elected Chairman of the PAA, while Jawwad Humayun will serve as Senior Vice Chairman. Nida Haider has been appointed Vice Chairperson, adding to the association’s new leadership structure.

The newly elected Central Executive Committee also includes Javed Qadeer Khan as Chairman of Zone A, Waqar Haideri as Chairman of Zone B and Usman Atique Butt as Chairman of Zone C.

Faheem Ahmed has taken responsibility as Finance Secretary. Other members of the 2026–2028 CEC are Ahmed Jamal Mir, Natasha Durrani, Farhan Khan, Asad Ansari, Tabish Hasan Shah, Khalid Saleem and Athar Saleem.

The annual general meeting also provided an opportunity to review the work completed by the outgoing committee during its two-year tenure. Outgoing Chairman Ahmed Kapadia briefed members about key initiatives undertaken by his team.

Members acknowledged Kapadia’s leadership and gave him a standing ovation, particularly for the work carried out to develop and strengthen the Pakistan Advertising Association’s brand identity.

Following his election, Numan Nabi Ahmed thanked PAA members for placing their confidence in him and the newly elected committee. He emphasized teamwork, professional relationships and learning from past experience as important elements for planning the association’s future direction.

As part of the transition, the new Chairman proposed establishing an Advisory Group to continue and build on initiatives introduced by the outgoing Central Executive Committee. The proposal was approved by members during the meeting.

The Advisory Group will be headed by Ahmed Kapadia as Chairman Emeritus. Aleem Durrani, Zeeshan Khan and Salman Mansur will serve as its members.

The new PAA leadership is expected to work closely with the Advisory Group on several areas, including developing a regulatory framework for new membership and improving relationships between advertising agencies and other industry stakeholders.

The association also plans to establish various sub-committees. Details regarding their structure and responsibilities will be communicated to members by the PAA Secretariat.

The newly appointed zonal chairmen are also expected to have an important role in expanding PAA membership. Their responsibilities will include strengthening engagement with members and coordinating with relevant information departments to improve cooperation with advertising agencies.

The new committee has also highlighted the need for greater collaboration among the advertising industry, government and other stakeholders. The PAA Chairman said businesses are facing new challenges and called for joint efforts to create a more supportive environment for the sector.

The 2026–2028 leadership period therefore begins with a focus on organizational continuity, stronger industry relationships, membership development and regulatory engagement. The new Central Executive Committee will oversee these priorities as it works to strengthen the association’s role within Pakistan’s advertising sector.
