In a significant development ahead of Pakistan’s 78th Independence Day, the federal government has chosen “Marka-e-Haq” (Battle for Truth) as the national theme for 2025. The announcement was made following a strategic meeting led by Federal Minister for Planning and Development Ahsan Iqbal, under the guidance of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.
The theme highlights Pakistan’s ongoing journey toward truth, justice, and national solidarity. Officials explained that it was selected to honor the historical and modern-day sacrifices made by the people of Pakistan in defense of the country’s sovereignty, identity, and democratic values.
The high-level session was attended by representatives from key departments, including the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) and the ministries of Information, Interior, and National Heritage & Culture. Plans were reviewed to ensure the national festivities reflect a collective spirit of pride and purpose.
According to Ahsan Iqbal, this year’s slogan serves not only as a tribute to past heroes but also as a reminder of Pakistan’s enduring resilience in the face of socio-political and economic challenges.
The 2025 celebrations are expected to include a range of activities—from cultural events and youth parades to media campaigns—designed to foster patriotism and promote a unified national identity under the banner of truth and perseverance.
