Religious extremism and bigotry is becoming one of the world’s biggest problems. Crimes against religious minorities are reaching new proportions in India as well as in Pakistan.
In India, a religious extremist physically assaulted a 45-year-old Muslim man in Uttar Pradesh’s Kanpur and paraded him through the street. He was made to chant the ‘Jai Shri Ram’ slogan by a violent mob.
A distressing video circulated on Twitter where his baby girl was seen clinging to him, begging the mob to leave them alone, while he was being abused.
Incidents like this are becoming a norm in India. Just two months back another Muslim boy was lynched by Hindutva terrorists in UP.
